Sibshops are best described as opportunities for siblings of children with health and developmental needs to obtain peer support and education within a recreational context.
Sibshops host an environment centered on FUN, connections, and community, focusing on the well-being of the family member most likely to have the longest-lasting relationship of an individual with a disability.
Monthly events are where siblings will meet other sibs (usually for the first time), have fun, laugh, talk about the good and not-so-good parts of having a sib with disabilities, play some great games, and create their own community of support.
Sibshops are open to children ages 6-16 and will be lead by volunteers who are adult siblings themselves!
